National ACE Congratulates President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris

November 17, 2020

The Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE) congratulates President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their historic victory. The election of Kamala Harris to be the next Vice President of the United States is nothing short of extraordinary. She will be the first Asian American, the first woman, and the first Black Vice President in our country’s history.

The election of our new leaders comes during a very difficult time for small businesses around the country, and for minority, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) businesses in particular. In the midst of a global pandemic, minority and AAPI-owned businesses have suffered great losses, and additional pandemic relief is now long overdue. Our businesses need support from their federal government, but they also need equal access to that support, which they have not yet received since the onset of this crisis.

As we enter the holiday season, Covid-19 infections and deaths are escalating at alarming rates, with no signs of slowing down. Now that the election is behind us, we have every confidence our leaders on both sides of the aisle can and will come together to provide much needed pandemic relief for our nation during this perilous time.

National ACE looks forward to working closely with President-elect Biden, Vice President-elect Harris, their transition team, and their future Administration in getting our economy back on track and ensuring the survival of our most vulnerable small businesses.  We stand ready for the difficult road ahead.  Like the millions of AAPI businesses around the country, we are also optimistic about our country’s future.

This is a follow-up to the previous statements made by National ACE on November 10, 2020 and echoes those same sentiments.
