Trust is the basis for virtually everything we do in society as individuals, citizens and business owners. It is the ultimate currency in the relationship that financial institutions build with their customers. For small businesses, trust influences their decision where to seek financing and gives them confidence that financing terms are fair.
This Small Business Month, we invite you to "Trust and Access to Capital," a virtual roundtable hosted by Reimagine Main Street, a project of Public Private Strategies Institute — in partnership with the National ACE, The US Black Chambers, Inc., and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
We will host a lively discussion of the findings from a recent survey of more than 2,400 diverse entrepreneurs about confidence in their ability to access capital and trust in different sources of financing including banks, alternative financial service providers, and government agencies. The event will also feature remarks from policymakers and include insightful panel discussions on why trust is crucial to succeeding in providing capital to small businesses and what lenders can do to build it.
