Part II: Development and Fundraising: Opportunities and Challenges for the AAPI Community

Recent protests over the senseless murders of Mr. George Floyd, Ms. Breonna Taylor, and many, many others, have given rise to an international call for an end to systematic racism, racial profiling, historical inequities, classism, and more. Corporations, foundations, and individual donors all seek ways on how they can make a difference in supporting the Black and Latinx Communities in their fight to end racism and social injustice. Are AAPIs part of this discussion? As these important and critical discussions continue, how should the AAPI community respond? And, as corporations, foundations, and individual donors allocate funds to support communities that have been underserved and underrepresented, what should the AAPI not-for-profit community do to be a part of this process? We'll also have a frank, open and honest conversation on the importance of relationships, problem-solving, creativity, and support. We'll also address diversity, inclusion, equity, and representation.
