A National Strategy to Advance Equity, Justice, and Opportunity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities

Join the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) for the historic launch of a national strategy and the release of federal agency plans to advance equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities.

Senior Biden-Harris Administration officials will unveil this national strategy, which will include 32 federal agency action plans and WHIAANHPI’s inaugural report to the President. The federal agency action plans are deeply aligned with the Administration’s commitment to advancing racial equity throughout the federal government – a commitment that has been a priority of the Biden-Harris Administration since Day One.

The launch of this national strategy to advance equity, justice, and opportunity for AA and NHPI communities represents an important first step in what will be ongoing coordination across the federal government to address both immediate challenges and systemic inequities impacting AA and NHPIs. In releasing these 32 agency plans, this Administration is committed to deepening collaboration with AA and NHPI communities in the years ahead to achieve our vision of a nation where all people can thrive and live up to their full potential.

Highlights from the agency plans include:
• Promoting Belonging and Combatting Anti-Asian Hate
• Data Disaggregation
• Language Access
• COVID-19 Response & Recovery
• Capacity Building
• Federal Workforce Diversity
