Dennis Huang is the executive director of the Asian Business Association, a nonprofit organization that has been proactively assisting Asian-American small businesses to gain access to economic opportunities and advancement since 1976. As one of the oldest and largest Asian business organizations in the state, he created and shaped many programs that benefited many small businesses. Mr. Huang continues to advocate for small businesses among major corporations, public agencies, and city and state governments.Mr. Huang is also an expert on diversity, serving as a member of the California Utility Diversity Council, which works closely with the California Public Utilities Commission to guide and enhance diversity in the areas of governance, procurement, employment, customer service, marketing and philanthropy. He is also on the Asian Pacific American Advisory Council for Nielsen.Mr. Huang has experience working in a small-business environment for three years and spent over five years working in the hospitality industry. He currently volunteers his time for his son’s basketball and baseball teams. He also serves as the cub master for the City of La Palma Pack 673.Mr. Huang received his B.S. in hospitality management from California Polytechnic University of Pomona and his MBA from Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
