Daniel C. Oliver is the Vice President of Development at the National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce & Entrepreneurship where he plays a key role supporting commerce and entrepreneurship in Asian and Pacific Islander American communities. He provides expertise in the areas of development and fundraising, local and national policy, legislative and intergovernmental relations, building relationships with regional chambers and partner organizations, as well as external communications.
Prior to his role at National ACE, Mr. Oliver spent over 8 years on Capitol Hill as a senior staff member. As the Senior Director of Operations for Congressman Honda (CA), he managed the daily internal operations of the office, and oversaw planning for special events, including congressional briefings, press events, multi-day conferences, and receptions. He also managed the front office, the Congressman’s daily schedule, and served as a liaison to VIPs from the White House, cabinet members, Members of Congress, ambassadors, CEOs, and other dignitaries.
A native Californian, Mr. Oliver earned his bachelor of arts in philosophy with minors in ethics and French, and pursued graduate level coursework in political science with a focus on American politics, international relations, and comparative politics at the California State University, Chico. He currently lives with his wife and children in Takoma Park, MD.
