Dear Mr. President-Elect:

The Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ACE) congratulates you on your election, and we look forward to working with you as you address the economic challenges facing our nation.

Based in Washington, DC, ACE was founded in 2012 as a national voice representing the business and economic interests of Asian American and Pacific Islanders.

As you know, Asian Americans contribute to our Nation’s economy in many significant ways. Nearly two million Asian American entrepreneurs today own businesses in all major industries, generating more than $700 billion in economic output and employing 3.6 million workers.

We share your goals of creating more good jobs, reforming outdated tax laws, reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens on businesses, and promoting fair trade policies that open up the global market for American enterprises.

With your background as a business leader and negotiator, we hope you will work with all sides in Congress to move these policy goals forward and make our economy as strong as it can be.

We also urge you to appoint as many talented and qualified Asian American professionals to key policy-making positions so that your Administration can benefit from the views of Americans of all backgrounds.

We wish you much success as you take on this important new role.

  • Sincerely,
  • Helene Yan
  • Chair, Board of Directors
